Christmas Day!

On Christmas Eve, we went to our church's candlelight service. Before the service started, Ashlynn said, "Jesus is born mommy" and it was amazing to me that Ashlynn understood that we were celebrating Christ's birth. During the service Ashlynn loudly exclaimed, "All done" after each song, verse, or message. It was a little embarrassing at first, but so funny. She loved holding her candle during the last few songs and helped mommy blow it out at the end of the service. Ashlynn did a great job despite it being way past her bedtime.

Silly girl!

On Christmas morning, Ashlynn was excited to open her stocking presents. She didn't seem surprised at all (just excited) that Santa had honored her wishes and brought her Mickey, (& Minnie), M&M's and a few other surprises. After the stocking presents, we snacked on the apples and oranges that Santa had brought in our stockings, while we made a big Christmas breakfast. Ashlynn took time to enjoy each present and wanted to play with it, before unwrapping the next gift. That evening for dinner, we had our friends Kiley & Luke over with their new baby, Drew. It was a perfect day!
